Hmm, do you want a second pair of wheels, to which you will put on narrow road tyres for your bike, but keeping a knobbly set of wheels for XC use?
Firstly, MTBs are just not setup for road commute. there's the position on the bike, gearing, wheel size etc. especially for a 30kn daily.
But if you are intent, then you could get a cheap pair of wheels like these
You'll also need a set of rotors to match the ones on your XC wheels.
and these are the tyres you'd be using. You'll need matching 1" tubes also.
I had an expensive experiment with this, tried it once, tyres and now sitting in shed, maturing nicely!
