number memory issue

I have a sony erricsson t700 work phone, anyhow lately when someone rings it if the number isnt stored on it, it doesnt save it, so when i go to last calls the last number isn't recorded unless I it's saved. it's a pain in the ass, has anyone any ideas how to solve this. cheers in advance.
