    like the title says I'm in big trouble with the two sites.i can't load either site using firefox or IE.i seem to be fine with my other bookmarks but not these two.the page seems to hang and won't connect at all.i have tried avg,malawear,avast, microsoft essentials and norton from usb key as I couldn't load them direct from their websites.They load and run scans but find nothing,but none of them will update, the connection just hangs.Anyone got any ideas as my kids are fit to kill me if i can't get facebook back soon

    I would try to limit this down a bit.
    Have you a second PC or laptop to try them on?
    Have you tried any other browsers?
    Ideally try it on a laptop at home & then on the same laptop from a different internet connection.

    maybe try backing up and wiping computer?

    have you tried reconfigureing your privacy settings??? what o/s are you running?? if its vista, then the privacy setting are blocking you. also check to see if windows firewall is blocking you also.

    have tried turning on and off firewall and changed privacy settings.I am running windows 7 since the week it came out and the problem only started this week.the computer is a desktop and if I bring in my neighbours laptop i can connect no problem through my network.the reason i think that its a virus problem is because it won't let me go to some website ie avg or update the other anti virus that I have installed from a usb key.I can't wipe the computer and start again to be honest as i wouldn't know how to and my wife has a hell of a lot of work stored on it.Can any recommend a good company or person to ring about this that can do callouts.I don't want to bring it to pc world as I have only heard bad things about them.i'm on the southside dublin 16 if you know anyone

    Thanks for all your help guys.i got home from work last night and my kids were delighted.Everything was working fine no problems at all.I didn't do anything its just working but my kids don't need to know they think I'm cool:D

    Turn off your security blocking software, firewall etc. and try. Your ISP could be blocking those sites or the sites may have blocked you?
