    Hi,

I had surgery on my ankle on Jan 1st after breaking it, I had to have pins and screws inserted...

my worry is after bing in a cast for 6 weeks solid, the ankle is very stiff, if I start to stretch the ankle to exercise it, could the surgical incision open up?? how long does it take for a surgical incision to heal?

    Thanks

It depends on the incision. Ask the doctor. Mine took 6 weeks. My son 3.

horse for courses I'm afraid. As metro suggests, you should consult your doc with those queries. The factors affecting wound healing are many and varied.

    Cheers
