I just wish it reduced the power of the M16, SCAR and FAMAS :(

    seems to be these

    - Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
    - Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
    - Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
    - Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
    - Fixes to prevent various XP hacks (including the prevention of negative XP)

In regards to the last one , it can be bypassed.

I never found the M16 to be overpowered, especially if you compare it to MW1, I agree with ya on the SCAR though

No doubt. Anything that guys can make a few quid or points from they're fairly quick to find their way around.
Reckon it'll be only a few days anyway before another fistful of annoying glitches pop up but until then at least can enjoy a few days free from the constant"Enemy Care Package Incoming!".

To be honest it does take more skill to use famas/m16 rather than a fully automatic , as for being over powered i dont think so some times it takes me at least 2 bursts with either the m16/famas to put some one down where as with a fully automatic you can fire more quickly.
The scar is a good gun but i dont really use it as the mags are too small.

Basically people can find every single gun in the game over powered if you are killed by it too often. Alot has to do with connection , i've been killed before across a map by a pistol....go figure .

    1. No it doesn't take more skill. With Stopping Power they are 1 burst kills. Many times I think I've been sniped but it's just an M16 or FAMAS. One time me and my friends were playing search and one of my friends who only snipes switched to an M16 to prove a point. He stayed aimed in for the whole round and got 4 one burst kills.

    2. Snipers a lot of the time aren't one shot kills and yet these pretty much are. Hardly fair. No assault rifle bar maybe the AK and the F2000 have ANY recoil which completely goes against all reason. An assault rifle shouldn't have a precise shot from across the map, the bullets would quite simply fizzle out.

    3. The M16 was overpowered in COD 4 too. I think it's to try and even it up for unskilled players (not saying everyone who uses it is unskilled)

The M16 is only overpowered if your the host, i have often lined up a head shot on somebody from the back with the M16 and it still took 2 bursts!!!

You quoted my post but you didnt read it . Maybe i left out that i use stopping power but it still takes at least 2 bursts. Alot depends on connection.

As for the bit i made bigger , if you shot someone with a barrett you would make a huge hole in them but sometimes in this game it takes 2 shots to kill someone. If they are so overpowered why dont you use them ? and stop complaining over something petty.

First up, you forgot the TAR and AK47 from your list if you are talking about actual damage inflicted, as they all deal the same. What about the FAL too, as it's more powerful again? Two shots with that and you are dead. Even without stopping power!!

But I disagree. I don't think they are overpowered.

Scar has drawbacks of small mag size, and a good bit more recoil than guns like the ACR etc. So it has plus and negative aspects.

Only guns that have no weak points can really be called overpowered imho. The 1887 wasn't far off this due to its range and accuracy, but it still wasn't truely overpowered on open maps etc.

Amazes me that the barrett is only a one shot kill with a headshot. This would put a gaping hole in someone or take a limb off from quite a distance.

Use the m16 without stopping power and seem to find that if you get 2 bullets on target the other person goes down.

Despite the whinging I've seen about the 1887s, I haven't come across them terribly often and while they did kill me once or twice on a level, they're not impossible to deal with.

Suppose their unlock level militates against them being too widespread.

It isn't. If you hit the person anywhere between the bottom of the rib cage up to the head, using an unsilenced Intervention or Barrett, it's a one shot kill.
