X Factor irritants Jedward are playind in the forum in April. Tickets on sale next week. I'd say it will surely sell out.

Personally I can't stand them but fair play to the Forum for bringing in high profile acts. Calvin Harris sold ou this morning, One Republic also playing there. It's about time some popular acts came to Waterford to play.

I think we may need a new Forum Forum.

Milking there 15 minutes of fame. But it's a guaranteed sell out for the Forum business wise.

I have no shame in telling you that i'll be there. I talked them up so much on the xfactor just to basically annoy people, i an couldn't not go.

    Pretty much this.

Shouldn't we applaud a venue for trying to reach its full potential?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭tippspur

Whatever about Jedward, Calvin Harris and one Republic are two great acts for the Forum to have performing.

    yeah thats it.
That staci solomon one is down in dignity soon I heard.

All of the X-factor wannabes will be touring solid for the next year...or for as long as their shelf life allows. As long as people are willing to spend money to see them then no venue should be criticised for booking them. Okay, except for Twister vics.

However, we definitely shouldn't say "OMG!!! <insert D-list act here> coming to Waterford?!!! That's just unbelievable."

Our money is as good as anywhere elses.

Doubt it, why would you spend 25 quid to bottle two talentless planks.

I suppose Jedward, One Republic and Calvin Harris are quite high-profile for a venue like The Forum. I just wish they'd get someone high-profile that's actually decent!

But fair play to them. I'm sure they'll make a lot of money and make a lot of 12 year old girls happy.

I'm still pinning my hopes on The Forum getting Rihanna, Girls Aloud and The Saturdays, all on the one night, and then finding I'm the only bloke at the after-party, which just happens to be held in a jacuzzi...

What are jedward going to do on the night. Sing? Dance? Knit?

What exactly do they do that Rocky Mills cant do?

See all the teenagers bawling on the news last night because they didn't get to meet them in a HMV.

I sense embarrassment for them in a few years

Oh right, my friend couldn't get Waterford tickets, but she got Cork tickets, so I figured there may be some leftover. Tout's already have the tickets on ebay, €150 for 2.
