Is the quality good? I had something similar before, but people complained that because the microphone was somewhere near my knees they couldn't hear me very well, though I could hear them fine.

Sorry to hi jack the thread, but if you want to spend a bit more amazon have a pretty nifty Garmin Sat nav that doubles as a great quality hands free for about €110 delivered.
Might be more expensive, but your getting a good sat nav AND good hands free. The phone function is great, displays your contacts and call lists with voice dialling as well. You dont need to even touch your phone!

I have heard these are good I know you think "silvercrest" i never heard of that, i was always a big sony man but with so many letdowns with them i wouldnt go near them again. Their a good kit for the money, a lot better than 80 euro and two points:(

What did that comment add?

Seriously.. he came alerting us of a bargain (you know, what this forum is meant for) and you responded with that.

Cop on, or you'll get a holiday from this forum!

    Damn it.
I thought that this was for an automatic soup dispenser.

Ah well, I can always live in the hope ..

Great suggestion but just be careful with the phone you use, I've had several Nokias work pooly with the garmin and my latest nokia 5800 does not work at all.

My Nokia 6500 worked grand, and iPhone works a treat now, if that helps!

I had the same problem with the 5800 and a Garmin 215, handsfree on the phone itself kept overriding the bluetooth. Haven't tried the iPhone yet, use an aux in now instead.

@FredH3ad - see the name of the forum? BARGAIN ALERTS...I know bastille said it but seriously...

It might only be a small bit cheaper but everything counts;)

I was just making a point. The OP had no link, and some comment about a wok? Is this BA or somewhere you post your Lidl shopping habits?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,413 ✭✭✭✭Basq

There's no need for a link.. he mentioned something at a bargain price in Lidl - it's a bricks and mortars store!

And don't bother claiming you can't work out what was meant by "wo(r)ks like a charm".. it's a simple typing error!

You're not gonna have a long run in Bargain Alerts if you keep making snippy comments like this. This is your final warning!

    You tell him Basquille!!;)

Thank you for this BA! I'll have a look myself, sure you'd pay through the roof in most shops for the more or less the same car kit! Nice spot!

Looking for similar but with ability to play back mp3's on usb stick. I have seen some kits like this but looking for the best value out there. Anyone any recommendations?

when did you get it? I have not seen it in the catalog or is it one left over from a couple weeks ago. What sort of installation do you have to do?

Is that it? Is that one where you have to have the thing in your ear?

No. Is fed through audio in car radio.

got it on thursday in lidl out in togher cork . I dont think there is any left in that particular shop but for people in cork i think there still in carragaline. As for instillation its just a case of searching for bluetooth on your phone . As for the negative comments if you dont have anything constructive to say just stay off thread .
