    Is it possible?

The arrows and keyboard don't seem comfortable to me on this game, i've played around with key configs, but i'd say just give me an analog, a jump, and an attack button and i'd be away in a hak.

    Anybody any ideas?

Hey you should use Joy2Key. I played ms on a 360 pad with it, its easy to get set up with the instructions. Its freeware so enjoy.

360 controllers work with any game that supports gamepads - in theory at least.
So if Maple Story does, it should work there, too ...

I'm using mine with Xpadder and Dragonica, it's pretty awesome. :)
