    Just did the carrier update and the option is there , says to ring O2 to enable

    Yes, but is there an additional monthly charge for this? There should not be if you stay within your data allowance. Interested to know how O2 are handling this.

    You bet there is:
    1GB = €12.50 monthly
    7.5GB = €16.99 monthly
    15GB = €19.99 monthly

    Given the base price of the contract, I am disgusted by the fact that O2 have decided to charge extra for iPhone tethering. Their customers are calling them out on this, and rightly so.
