I normally buy all my mac stuff in america when i go there, normally one or twice a year, so i stock up a fair bit, however i was given a bt2 giftcard the other day and the only thing that really kinda appeals to me in there in MAC. What are the irish prices like? Anyone with any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated :D

Irish prices are pretty much double the US prices. You can have a look at the German MAC site for a guide for what you'll be paying.

Foundation - about 25 euro, powder - about 22 euro and lipstick - 18 euro. From what I remember anyway. I made my last MAC purchases in NYC but I don't think the price differences were huge tbh.

yeah eyeshadows are 15euro each I think as well but a while since Ive bought any! Have you checked out www.strawberrynet.com, their stock changes a lot but they have good deals on expensive make up!

Personally, I only consider the eyeshadows worth splashing out on - there are some amazing colours, the quality/texture is beautiful and they are super long-lasting... but for me, a black eyeliner is a black eyeliner, a lipstick is a lipstick, a mascara is a mascara etc - so I only get the likes of these from No 7, Max Factor et al.

That said, I'd be happy to purchase a super-reduced MAC eyeliner/mascara from a make-up artist (as I did recently... :pac:)

i only get mac foundation because of its amazing durabilty an coverage. i av the blusher an lipgloss but there the same as the cheaper versions. never tried the eyeshadows tho, i hear there worth buying.

abi what foundation do you use?

I have found mac to be the worst foundation i've ever tried, i have mineralise compact and moistureblend compact and both go on nice but barely last a few hours and don't give coverage suitable to my skin. and i think one was 32 ish and the other closer to forty

Personally i find mac a waste of money, some eye shadows are nice but since their pigmentation was lowered i don't find them as good

Foundations were about 40, eyeshadows 15, blushes were 20 something and brushes were all in the 40-50 range. Its a lot more expensive than america. They have nice bags and accessories in BT2

i'v combination skin and need good coverage so i use Mac Studio Fix Fluid I tink it's nearly €30, it lasts ages tho. All u need is a small bit and it stays on all night. I'v heard Revlon Colorstay is also good for my skin type and is alot cheaper mite give that a go when my Mac runs out but will be suprised if it can beat it

Extortionate, like pretty much everything. Last foundation I bought there was 31 euro and that's without being fully functional. The pump to actually extract said foundation costs an additional fiver, surprisingly enough
