NCT got my retest fee wrong (in my favour)

On Jan 25 I got my 88 Merc tested but they failed it for front brake hoses, rear brake lines and rear suspension bushings. I have since replaced all these and took a look at the fail sheet in order to arrange a retest. I noticed that the retest fee written on the sheet was 0 Euro which I thought odd as I would have expected it to be 28 Euro as the brakes would have to be tested again. Anyway I just turned up at the centre as if it was a visual recheck and the guy in reception was confused when he saw the sheet and eventually came back to me telling me that it was a mistake and I need to contact head office to sort it out. I will do that tomorrow but as I have been greatly inconvenienced by "their mistake" surely they should give me a recheck free of charge as per their failsheet. Should I insist on this? I have no issue with the items on the fail sheet, I have done as they asked.... Any thoughts??

Did you get a disc off them? If so don't bother paying.
If not, get in touch with head office and insist they give you the test as marked on the sheet.

I got in touch with head office and they say that the only way to retest the car is on the test ramp which I have to pay the fee despite the 0 Euro indication on the sheet. I can fill out a complaint form afterwards!!!!!! So I got a booking for the retest for Monday. I will try and argue my case with the test centre then. Its just that if you make a mistake you pay, if they make a mistake, you still pay!!!

Same happened to me but tester spotted it and changed it when giving the fail sheet and changed it immediately (although in fairness they forgot to charge me a fee for cancelling my previous test too late).

There must be a system bug
