Started running just to mix things up from cycling. Is this advisable or could this have adverse effects on my cycling?

The reason I started is I see a few persons in the club that are quite fast cyclists that run quite alot? Seems to be doing something for them??????

Its does but certainly doesn't make you go faster on the bike thats for sure.

It will help you going up hill on the bike but not by much, to cycle faster ur better off keeping to the bike and training on 2 wheels......

I do both about 50:50 and I reckon the cycling helps the running more than the other way round. I think cycling's given me a greater tolerance for suffering.

I've found that running has made me more comfortable on the bike. Wouldn't claim it helps with the speed though.

If you're not sacrificing spins to go running, then what's the harm?
