Distributor for Online Store

    Hey Guys,

I plan to launch a series of website for the Irish market in niche categories. These websites will largely be blogs/forums with stores attached. These will be under my Sole Trader business.

The main problem I'm having is that I don't want to sell and ship the products myself. Does anyone know of any distributors (or if they even exist) whereby an order is made through my online store, they then receive the order and payment, they ship the order and we split the payment (in a pre-agreed ratio).

The niches will be books and other such hobby items. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Dean.

    Hi Dean

Been researching same the last six months.. Found the guys at www.storageplus.ie who were previously recommended here to tick all the boxes ((literally)) on what I was looking for.. Worth checking out..

Best of luck with new biz!

Assuming you have the products already then the above seems like a good option.

If you dont have the products then you are basically looking at dropshipping where you would take the order at the price on your website and then pay the wholesaler for the product and get them to ship it for you.

You dont say if you have the products already or not which would be a big factor.

hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I think, for now, I'd be starting with drop shipping as I have limited capital available for stock. However I would definitely use StoragePlus when my biz grows. It seems like a great service.

Does anyone know of any drop shipping wholesalers?

I've been looking at Lightinthebox.com for drop shipping but I'm concerned about the quality of the merchandise and the transit time.

    Thanks,
    Dean.

If your looking at a niche area then its unlikley you will find a dropshipper doing what you are after. They mainly deal in common product lines, also most wouldnt be dealing in books and would tend to be day to day products, electronic goods, clothing etc.
