US Citizen - Working in Ireland but have to go home

    Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post, but I'm not sure where it should go. Mods, please move it as you see fit!

    I'm an American citizen who's been working here for the last 7 months. Unfortunately, I have to go home to the US for anywhere between 6 months and a year, during which time, my visa will run out. But I really love it here and want to come back to Ireland and set up here permanently. Does anybody have any idea what the legal issues may be regarding visas, jobs, and the various other things. Thanks in advance for any advice.
