I've been on three dates with this great guy that I met about two months ago. Although we don't see each other very often as we live almost two hours apart, we're in contact very regularly during the week. We get on great etc but I'd like your opinions regarding Valentines day. Because we've only been on a few dates, is it expected to get each other presents and if so what exactly would be appropriate? Thanks :)

Maybe a funny card or something like that. To be honest, it sounds a bit too casual to go the whole hog and buy presents. However............ You could have something small ready just incase he turns up with something for you. You can always give it to your bro, dad, best male friend etc if it doesnt work out ...... or part of his next year christmas pressie if it does!!!

Definitely agree with the above post. Its only been a dates, a funny card would be perfect. God valentines is such a minefield:-)

I think a card might be a little too personal actually......

How about a chocolate heart lollipop from M&S?!

A humorous funny card is the perfect idea, i got one from my now current gf after the first month of us going out.

I'd agree with this, a card I'd think is too personal.
A silly little something, maybe something real naff like Valentine's socks or something.
A guy I had just started to see a few years ago bought me a pair of socks and we cracked up when he presented them to me.

I'm in the same situation (but genders reversed), I couldn't find any funny cards so got one that wasn't too personal or too lovey dovey. Now I've second thoughts maybe it is still too personal. Give it to her or not?

    Advice??

Since you have paid for it, might as well give it to her. Or do you have someone else in mind? I suppose you could save it for next year. The single red rose mentioned on another thread was a nice alternative.

I was hoping to get a funny card, but I didn't see any today. It's very casual atm and I don't want to make it seem too personal. But I don't want to forget about it either. Ugh, valentines!!
