Is it some sort of chemical burning the roots underneath the stump of the tree? When will it be over...worst smell I've ever smelled, retching walking past it ughh.

Fungus grew where the tree used to be, they're killing it with chemicals.

Makes you wonder why they didn't jsut leave the tree or plant a new one.

It was diseased so by law they had to cut it down, this would also prevent it from infecting other trees on campus. They can't plan a new one until they're sure no traces of the disease are left. They'll do it in a couple of years.

I got it on the way in the other day and was giving daggers looks to this guy I thought it was coming from.
It's worse coming out of the building I think.

It's absolutely rotten, and you can see the fumes coming from under the boards where the tree used to be. Can't be too healthy; I saw the guys who put whatever it is in there, and they were all wearing gas masks to protect themselves (three men in nondescript overalls and gas masks, one of them descending a ladder into the hole where the tree used to be--looked seriously weird).

The holy well (St Patrick's well I believe it's called) is acting up. There'll be apparitions next!

Genuine apparitions or hallucinations caused by the noxious gases?

    :D

I'm pleasantly surprised that no-one has mentioned 'Arts Students' or something along those lines.
