    Hi

    I'm currently updating my CV.
I've been giving grinds (to undergraduate students) and want to include this, but unsure how best to put it on the CV. Just a date range, and "private tutoring" and the details of group sizes, topics covered etc? Looks a bit odd without an employer's name, but i can't think how else to do it and i don't want to leave it off.
    Thanks.

Just put it in as Private Tuition in Geography/Maths etc. I'm sure a prospective employer will be able to read between the lines.

If you're applying for a teaching position you're not going to be asked about grinds at an interview.

You could just mention it in general information about yourself if you want to mention it but I wouldn't be too concerned about it to be honest. There are two problems with private tuition - 1) it does not involve classroom management so is largely irrelevant for a classroom job anyway and 2) it is not verifiable from a prospective employer's perspective.

    Thanks for the replies.

I'm not applying for a teaching job, and I'm not too worried about stating it as 'a job' as such - I more want to get across the skills gained from it.

    Thanks.
