I thought they would give refund me back the 7 odd euro but there no quibble guarantee says that they have to give me a full refund..

You don't have to use the bargain alert and if you want pay full price I wont stop you...

their policy (which they don't alway carry out) is full refund if you're overcharged. they will generally then go and fix the incorrect pricing afterwards.

I wouldn't feel any guilt in taking advantage of this though - how many people do you think get overcharged and don't notice - Tesco's pricing is frequently confusing and misleading (whether through accident or design).

    Why Dishonest ?

It's Tesco's policy to refund you the total price of items if they do not charge you the correct price. Personally I am so fed up of being overcharged by supermarkets that I now do a quick scan of my receipt before I leave the store.

If Tesco refunded one person this morning - then they have been flagged that the price is incorrect. If they do not adjust their price on their computer and they have to refund the item again - then it's their own fault and their own policy !

Or ..............am I missing something ?

    Indeed. It's by design.

You often see big signs with special offer multi-pack 2 2-litre bottles of coke with a big €4 symbol, while right next to the multi pack are the single 2-litre bottles at €1.90 each or something. A lot of people will just see the special offer and take the multipack instead of getting two singles for cheaper.

tbh, if Tesco having been told of their misprice are still overcharging, then it is them who are being dishonest

I was careful to include in my post that this is my opinion.
I just knew that people would come on here and have no problem exploiting the
Tesco policy of refunding, just because its Tesco.

To make myself clear, personally if I was aware of the overcharge and intentionally
purchased a product to exploit the Tesco refund policy I would compare this to stealing.

My opinion may not be popular, but its my opinion.

And this is still not a bargin alert.

The offer is for the 2 mains and the 2 small bowls of rice and the spring rolls, but the box with the veg and chicken spring rolls are identical except for the word chicken in the top left hand corner.

If you have the chicken rolls then the offer wouldn't work.

So by now the customer service operator and the chill merchandiser are both getting roasted!

I've been overcharged a few times by tecso but they have only ever refunded me the difference. Is there any link to this policy in case it happens in future?

    No Quibble Policy
Our "No Quibble Policy" is our way of showing customers that we always charge the right prices in our stores. It states that: "in the unlikely event of you being charged a price at the checkouts that is higher that the price mounted on the display, we will give you that item absolutely free and without quibble".

Same thing happened to me LAST WEEK in Tesco Clare Hall with the Ken Hom Chinese meal for two for €7.:mad::mad:

They gave me a full refund :D:D:D (It´s policy, but sometimes you have to remind them of it)

They seemed to already know the problem existed even then- but seem to have some sweet F. A. about it since - ripping off customers who do not check their receipts for a whole week!:mad::mad:

    So yes, it IS DISHONEST

Answer - let´s all go to Tesco tomorrow and get lots of Chinese meals for free - full refund! :D:D:D
