is this 50k gtd or not? it says on another thread here that it is gtd for 50k but there is no mention of it here and there is also no acknowledgement (from what I can see) that the guarantee is no longer applicable. would you mind to clarify this point?

There was an old thread that stated there was €50,000 guaranteed. but this has since been withdrawn and that thread was deleted.

Dave Callaghan has gotten himself into trouble with the second nut straight against Shane Kearys nut straight. Dave is down to around 12k total

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Dave Callaghan is the first IOC casualty. On a board of j 7 2 3 with 2 clubs Zeik bet 2k and Dave called along with Shane Keary. The came the 9 of clubs and it went check check to Dave who bet 3100, Shane folded and Zeik moved raised him all in and after Dave called showed the nut flush

Chris Duff is the second man down, after nursing a short stack for a long time he went all in with AK10 4 and was called by Andrew Norman who held AQ 8 4. Ace Queen on the flop ended it for Chris.

Donal MacAonghusa has taken the chip lead after 2 pots. he started with a double up off Josie Hynes when his top 2 turned into the nut flush on the river and then he won an 80k pot of Keith McFadden but the cads were never shown. Donal has well over 180k now with Dave path in second with around 160k

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Keith McFadden has goten right back into this thing with a double up from Noel Hayes. Keith limped and Noel raised, Keith shoved with the Aces and they held up. He is up to over 70k with Noel Dropping down to under 40k.

Josie Hynse has been knocked out in 8th place by Noel Hayes, Both players were relatively short stacked and got it all in preflop, Noel flopped a set of 7 leaving Josie with no hope of recovery. Noel is now back up near average stack

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Keith McFadden moved all in over Roy The Boys preflop raise and Roy called. Keith had 6789 and Roy showed K K 10 10 doubled suited. QJ3 on the flop was not help to Keith but an 8 on the turn gave him some chance. Unfortunately the 9 on the river was no help giving Roy the nut straight.

We are down to 6 players

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Oh for the want of a pair says Donal MacAonghusa. On a 567 flop 2 sort stacks Noel and Zeik get it all in with a 89 and Donal calls with a set of 6's. BUt the Blank on the turn and river keep the 2 boy in there.

Big clash has Dave Path down to the carpet. A family pot developed and the flop was 664 and it was checked all around. A jack on the turn and Andrew bet from the small blind and Dave raised all in and got snapped called from Andrew. Dave had a house of jacks over 6's but Andrew had flopped quads.

    Dave is down to 20k

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Dave held on as long as he could but he just flopped a set of Kings on an all club flop and got it in against Noels flush. No pair emerged and we are down to 5

A series of missed draws have done it for Donal MacA, Eventually falling fowl to Roy brindleys nut flush. Donal is out in 5th and walks away with €1000
