I am looking to get paid for an item and I normally use Paypal Gift so that the buyer pays the fees.

The buyer wants me to send a Paypal invoice for the amount, does anyone know if I will have to pay the fees using this method?

Should I insist on Paypal Gift instead?

If you listed Paypal as an accepted option of payment and did not mention it must be via Paypal gift then realistically he "entitled" (not the right word as there is probably no legaly binding terms) to request the invoice

You pay the fees from a Paypal invoice

The buyer may not want to use Gift payments, as they have no come back from it.

If you want to sell something, then you should accept that you pay the fees.
