Insurance question

I wonder if anyone can advise me on this:

I have just transferred my car to my work address. Still in my name, but registered to work.

My muppet insurance company told me they would insure it at work, but then told me they got it wrong: my insurance address has to be where the car sleeps at night.

I am just wondering is it possible to have my ca registered at work, but the insurance registered at hiome?

or can anyone suggest any solution for me?

    Cheers.

Maybe i'm missing something, but why would you want your car registered to anywhere other than your home address?

Like Anan, the first question is............why ?

However, the address on the VLC and the address on the Insurance Cert don't have to be the same. The address on the VLC doesn't indicate ownership, only the 'keeper' of the vehicle.

Simply insure the car at the address they want the car to reside at: i.e. home.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I'd say the thinking behind this is a parking permit.

I'd assume your car should be registered to where you live for fines and eflow charges.

No, it's not that at all. Can't really say why, but not trying to avoid anything.

Anyway, I have it sorted: the insurance company say the risk address (my home) can be different to where the car is registered.
    So that's that.
    Thanks for the replies.
