deffo too much for my liking. that's something for the cyclist who either already has everything and doesn't know what to do with all the money sitting in his/her bank account or is a pro looking to shave some milli secs off their times.

on the other hand they're carbon which not only justifies the price but makes them a must have.

Ugly black plastic clogs. No thanks.

The UCI should make them illegal on aesthetic grounds alone. It wouldn't be their most ridiculous rule.

"For too long the research centered around aerodynamics has ignored the role which shoes play in the search for precious seconds. Not only is the efficiency of power transfer critical in ensuring that your power is transferred directly to the drive train, but the aerodynamics of the shoe must also be researched. After all, your feet are the fastest moving part of a bike".

    What a load of...cobblers.

Clearly doing a TT in clowns shoes, flippers or welly boots is going to disadvantage you aerodynamically but what miniscule advantage would these ugly bastards have over a standard cycling shoe & overshoe combo?

For these shoes to have any benefical effect on rider's time against the clock I would say that a rider would have to be 100% in the zone in every other area with every other environmental variable at its optimum. In short, I don't see these things making 'the difference', not even on the track.

I know what'll happen here, a few pros will wear them because of sponsorship or they put performance over Euroness and in 20 years time we'll laugh our asses off as we see them on A Question of Sport.

The skates they make are remarkably similar. Only some of it is covered in leather.
These are mine, bearing in mind that they are 14 years old. It was made over a plaster cast of my foot.

I would say anything you get from them now would be far superior. But I will say that they aint pretty.

Why not....as the only other continious moving parts on your bike apart from the wheels( your feet) im sure they will make you feel faster even if they dont make much difference.
