first one reminds me of when the knackers blared this out in the green across the way at 3am before the shades were called for about 3 weeks straight during the 90s.

The Saw Doctors. I'm from Tuam. There's loads of great bands in Tuam though. Noelie McDonnell, Blaze-X, The Ralphs, The Coonics. I'd say there's a hundred great bands in small towns you wouldn't come across.
As for music from outside the town... Fisherman's Blues

Like most kids, I really did sit on my Dad's lap while he drove, only it wasn't Buick, but a Cortina ..:)
Also, the line "I was 8 years old and running with a dime in my hand, to the bus stop to pick up a paper for my old man..".
Well, it for me it wasn't a dime, but 10p and the paper was the old Evening Press (gigantic paper if anyone remembers it)
