Who makes the mock papers

Who makes the mock/pres exam papers?
The papers we get often come with a tick beside the title on the front cover of each booklet...might not mean anything though
Clearly the state examinations commission dont do it because they dont put their names on them

The one with the tick is Examcraft as far as I know, only one other company I know of and that's DEB, don't see why it matters who makes them tbh.

There are a few companies that make them. DEB, Examcraft and Munster Examining Board are the main ones.

The mock companies have no interest in how you do in (or preparing you for) the exam. They are in the business of making money. There are numerous examples of poor questions on mock papers, questions that are not from the syllabus, or questions with confusing possible answers.

While this can occasionally happen on SEC papers, it's less likely to as the setting of their papers is a long process with a number of cross checks along the way.

I always tell my classes if they want to judge how they are doing, do it against a 'proper' paper (a past paper). I don't use mock company papers for my classes, although I am in charge of ordering them for the rest of the school. I use old exam papers and 'real' SEC marking schemes and correct them myself.

I noticed on my Maths mock today that there some very odd and confusing questions that didn't relate to our course, thanks for explaining!
