God its nice. Nicer than the avensis may i say. Actually i think the rear of the new avensis looks very hyundaiay or a kia magentis rear ended. Any way fine car hyundai are very reliable and good looking

I knew i was seeing CLS, but couldn't think what else was there...and bam avensis.
It looks awful in that pic/colour.

Not sure about the looks, would have to see the Euro model in the flesh, the interior looks like a nice step forward alright though, nicer than the current avensis without doubt:

It will most likely be called the i40 if sold in Europe.

Looks very Toyota Avensis/Mazda 6 to me:

Loks like a piece of jelly styled with a blunt razor ...and a halfrauds sharks fin to top it off

    me no likey

    EDIT
coming to think of it, I think the old one looks much better ...or perhaps I should say far less of a mess

Well if it make inroads into Avensis/Mazda 6 then I'm sure Hyundai will see it as mission accomplished, I am sure they won't mind the Merc references either. The real story thought here is the huge improvement over the old model, and those big leaps are what should worry the big players.

Oh yes, and it carries a 10 year warranty in the States. Hello VW, 2 years????

The rear is very 520 BMW, especially the rear tail lights.

Has anyone ever noticed how much of a negative influence Bangle has had on the car designing world?

Anyway, the car itself has a lot of Passat CC and B8 Audi A4 styling that is clear to see. I really don't think it will age well at all and that chrome grille looks really awful.

I'm sure it will be €20k of Korean reasonableness

Looks like a CLS in a fairground hall of crazy mirrors

First thing I saw was a Honda Accord but on the second look I just didn't know.

Too many rough angles. God help you if you need to visit a panel beater.

That looks excellent, if it came from a premium German brand it'd be hailed as the ext big thing.

I'd agree or if it wore a Skoda Superb badge it would probably be applauded for being alot of car for the money

that interior would give any euro premium car a run for its money, kudos to Hyundai for that

Looks similar to a Mondeo to me.

Looks rotten to me. Its a mish mash of all sorts of influences mixed into one without any clear focus on the end design IMO. The proportions a terrible i.e big heavy ham fisted slab like sided panels versus overly cut off declining roofline and tiny rear door/quarter light glass area. Head on its CLS along with the heavy styling line running up the side of the car ( fine on a CLS which is longer and lower where the proportions work very well ) , roofline and glass could be anything from the new C5 to an Avensis and the rear is clearly a copy of a Beemer. Its just a mess. Now I do have to admit that not so long ago I slated the Kia Soul here but I've got to like that car a lot. ( Not the interior , thats a shocker ) Cant see this Hyundai growing on me though.

It's trying to be everything at once, you can see different cars at every angle you look at it, the csl was clearly a big influence. The one thing that i keep being drawn to is the wheels on it...and i just don't know why!

Have seen loads of them in the flesh and they do look good. I don't like the wheels on the one in the pic though.
