    Yo trail biker, welcome.

There is a public trail in wicklow, Balinastoe which you can drive down to and cycle around. It's marked out and is good fun, nothing dodgy on it.

The rest of the trails have been built by the various mtb clubs and are difficult to find if you are not with some club people. Your best bet is to go out on some beginner spins with clubs like madmtb, epic or imbrc. See which one you like, join up and head out regularly to get to know the trails. Everyone is very friendly, keen for new people to join up.
