Lost USB

68 lost souls

Hey guys,

I lost a USB stick this week either in Kevin Street, Bolton Street, or Aungier Street.

Most likely that I left it in a computer in the Library in Aungier Street at 5 O clock on Monday. Its a 4GB Philips Credit Card USB stick and its formated to be named Portable Apps. It has research for my final year project and the portable apps suite installed on it as well as Automitive design research.

Here is a picture of what it looks like since it is differnet to the norm.



I would greatly appreciate it back if anyone has come across it. It only cost 15 euro so if you took it its not worth that much but th einformation on it is invaluable to me, I just bought it last week in Harvey Norman.

I had most of it backed up but some of it I had gotten that day.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi this happened to me recently in Aungier street and I was freaking out went in next day and someone had handed it up! So try at the desks its worth a shot!

Thanks Shanie. I went in on Wensday before I posted this and no look, left my number with the library staff in case they came upon it. Only other place I can think of is the Kevin Street pool/gym where Ill be on Monday again so I will ask there.

Hopefully someone finds it and hands it in.

i always put at a file called "_IF_YOU_FIND_THIS_USB.txt"

and since now i've always got it back. twice this year already

u can try at the library desk or to the porters. sometimes u can ask to the IT/help desk departement (first floor in kevin anex)

also try to have the usb together with your keys or something so u won't loose it again. specially if u have to plug-in it at the back of the pc and have it out of sight

Ill try around again this week incase anyone handed it in. I really should have put a file like that on it, I meant to do it when I got it but I just put one with my name and signiture on it and forgot about the other details.

I keep my backup one on my keys but I tohught I was being smart getting one that fitted in my wallet so I wouldnt loose it.

Im pretty sure someone took it for themselves at this stage but I want to have more faith in people, its an unusual USB so someone pobably thought "cool Ill have that"

I'm based in Kevin St. I'd try putting up a couple of posters at the labs on 1st/3rd floor in the Annexe (some students wander between both) and the pool area. Theres a chance somebody found it and either handed it in somewhere unusual or has forgotten about it - it happens. There are also a lot of students who never read this forum.

I think most students hand stuff up - I've been given several phones this year as well as USB's and even ipods.

I Lost mine twice since Semester one in Kevin Street.

The First time It was still in the lab.
The second time, somebody left it at the front of one of the labs on top of a cabinet. My supervisor mumbled to himself "somebody lost a usb.." i jumped off my chair with delight.. "ITS MINE!!"
Check all around the top/front of the labs..on top of cabinets..etc
