GPS Tracking the DIY way

    Help me please?

    I have been asked to build a web site for a charity car run. but they have requested a map of ireland with real time tracking of the two chase cars.
    I would like to know if any person has done this or something like this - can it be done with ease ?.

    the setup will be a simple garmin etrex's via a pc connected to a o2 or vodafone dongle. with some magic code that i require !!

    This can be done easily with something like http://gpsgate.com/index.php?id=73

    I've done it with a bluetooth gps puck, PocketPC and mobile phone.

    There was a recent Orienteering event which had live updates - try the orienteering Ireland website or their forum for info.
