Anyone point me in the direction of the Gas for pumping tires? cant find the feckers on any shop sites.

Also, do people carry a pump with the Gas? as a backup?

You mean this sort of thing?

I personally don't carry a pump but I would have two tubes in case of a real disaster. I'd strongly recommend trying out the gas before you have to do it for the first time out on the road as you only get one shot at it and can easily blow your spare if you haven't got the tube on right.

There can be a problem with shipping - technically you're not allowed air-ship CO2 cannisters for fear of explosions / terrorists etc so a lot of online retailers based in the UK won't send them over here.

    That said...

I got mine from an ebay shop and they had no such reservations.

You can get them here but prices are a lot steeper from what I've seen

I also carry a mini hand pump for if I'm stuck but the satisfaction of seeing the tire inflate fully in a second or two makes it a worthwhile spend in my eyes. (my tune will change when I get three punctures in one day...)

Since the CO2 heads are generally packaged with canisters, they cannot be shipped by air, which causes hassles with internet shops (particularly UK ones).

You should be able to find one in a local shop. They're on the CSS website, e.g. here, also Bikedock and The Bike Shop.

You can bring a small pump as backup, or buy a pump that has an integrated CO2 head on it (Genuine Innovations do those).

That's cool, thanks for the replys. I'll pick one up local so. Think I'll still carry a small pump as a back up on longer spins. Just in case eh.
