    Hey people,
As you may or may not know, DCU Games Society has been working on developing a computer game in the last few months. This game is nearing completion, and will be on-sale from Monday 22nd of Feb, the Monday of RAG Week.

ALL proceeds will go directly to the Rag Week Charities.
    Details:

    Bandit
The world of Sovell is unknowingly under it's greatest threat. The Jackal and The Lord of Games are in conflict, and only you can decide their fate.

A vast world, an epic storyline and over 30 mini-games await you in the DCU Games Society's first video game.

The game will be sold at €4 a copy, packaged in a proper game case with booklet. The design team have put many hours of work into the production, so please show your support during Rag Week and pick up a copy. You won't regret it ;)

I assume this is for computers? May pick it up for the laugh

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yeah the game is for computers, but can be played with a USB controller for the console feel.

EVERYONE should get a copy! If not to show support for charity, show support for the hours upon hours of work we put into development for absolutely no profit :)

Twas on sale Monday at the launch party and Tuesday in the Hub (afaik)

I'd suggest sending off a mail to games@redbrick.dcu.ie and see if they have any copies left to sell.

Got one myself today, only played it for a bit but it's quite impressive, love the little references to different things :)

Cheers lads, we appreciate the appreciation :D

The sales have been fantastic so far. We do have some left though, so if anyone else wants a copy, send an email to Gamesoc as said above or come along to our Console Gaming event any Wednesday in the old bar and speak to a committee member!

Seriously man, it's for charity and it's €4! That's just low.

Good game too, only thing that annoyed me was that I managed to run off the map almost immediately.

Haha yeah I'm not surprised to be honest. I'll never get annoyed at a game development company again for pushing back a release date. We simply did not have enough time. Except in our case, we couldn't push it back because it had to launch for Rag Week!

But basically we didn't get as much testing done as we'd like.

Finished it today, well done lads :) One or two bugs in the game alright but as was said, you had to rush it. Would have liked an option to mute sound aswell.

Would certainly get any sequel if it was produced ;)

There will be hopefully many more. The next one is going into production in April so it will be in great shape come release date. :)

Thanks for the great feedback guys. Much appreciated.

If anyone is looking for a copy, just PM me here or indeed send a mail to the aforementioned address.
