I would like to play my Wii online in Halls and I was just wondering if it was possible? And if yes, how?

Really missing Mario Kart Wii online.

I guess the same could be applied for PS3/360?

    Thanks.

The College Proxy explicitly blocks anything related to Xbox Live, PSN, Nintendo WFC, Steam, Battle.net, and also GFWLive IIRC. To circumvent this requires proxies, tunneling, vpns, and all sorts of stuff. Also, your ping will suck.

Your only alternative is to use a 3G or Irish Broadband connection (3G requires a laptop able to share the connection, IBB can be connected directly to the console). Neither is particularly well suited for gaming, but both will at least allow you to connect to the respective services and download content.

Nah, it won't. The phone coverage in Halls is ****.

Speaking from experience (ie, having a 360 presently hooked up in our kitchen via Irish Broadband hung out the windo), yes, it will.

(Admittedly, your mileage may vary, but it appears that the walls (and even windows) in Halls are made out of some sort of magic insulating material; inside, there's no signal at all, but just outside, we can get full reception. It also helps that our window faces out to the Road and not in to Halls, though I was also able to get decent reception from an inward facing window last year)

    Lucky, but I don't think I can. :(

What I would give to play L4D2 or MKW again. Oh well.

I did it this way at home because I live in the middle of nowhere and it works pretty well on nice sunny days and at the weekends. However when its wet outside......
