Does anybody know if the CWO will pay for your deposit if you have to move from an existing rent supplement property to another and the deposit you initially paid from your own means was eaten up for whatever reason?

    Thanks.

they usually will give you a once off deposit, you'll never get it again though

    Hi,
My flatmate is getting the Job seekers benefit and he wants to apply for rent allowance.
Is rent allowance paid to him or directly to the landlord, because our landlord said that he won't accept rent allowance. so if he would get a electronic payment he could just send it on to the landlord as per usual.
    Hope someone can help.

In order to receive rent allowance your landlord needs to fill in a section of the form, giving their name, address and pps. If the landlord is unwilling to do this then you cannot get rent allowance.
