I've been planning a family trip to Orlando this June, so if there's any questions I can help you with, just ask.

First bit of advice, have a look at thedibb.co.uk. It's a UK site, with the sole purpose of discussing anything to do with Disney (US & Paris), and holidays in Orlando. Fantastic source of information.

Second bit of advice: shop around! I have found big price differences between companies. Also don't be afraid to be a little adventurous! We're flying Dublin to Manchester to Orlando, because 1.) Way cheaper than flying direct out of Dublin, 2.) getting to fly with Virgin Altantic in one of their Boeing 747-400 which is fantastic for a 9 hour flight! 3.) Savings cover the family tickets to Universal & IOA :)

I have a few questions if you dont mind...

2 adults Going for 2 weeks (15nights) in September (also headed to Las Vegas for week after)..
hotel booked on International Drive for 12 nights (major shopping round here til my head was about to explode ). 3 nights still to book, had planned on staying in Clearwater/Tampa area then as we fly out of Tampa but we might wait til we get there to decide with the Oil spillage

    So..
What tickets did you get for the parks? and did you buy before you left?
havent done much looking at the various tickets/prices but were aiming to get the Orlando Flex Tickets. We like the idea of unlimited access for 2 weeks to all the parks..but its hard to tell if you will go to a park twice, three times whiel there? dont think we will be doing Disney

    Car Hire..
Was just going to book a car for 2nd week as ere staying on I-Drive. from what I saw on car hire site would be about €150 for 6-7days. but have been told to be careful and to pay the extra for better insurance coverage etc but I cant see much differences in the packages except gps included and fuel surcharges

thanks..and if you havent gone yet I hope you have a brill holiday! :)
