facebook friend invites question

My ex girlfriend has been inviting me to add me to her facebook, I get email invitations from her every few months, but I am not sure if this is just an automated process by facebook or is she actually personaly inviting me to her facebook? Have not spoken a word to her in 3 and half years and find it odd she is now searching for me on facebook. I rejected all her friend requests that I recieved in my email account for personal reasons.

I'd like to know does facebook look at your email contact lists and try to add people automaticaly witout your knowledge? I certainly would not add her and it would piss me off if I knew facebook was trying to add her without me knowing it giving her the wrong impression etc etc.

I have no intention of adding her to my facebook....I deliberately changed my username on it a few years back to stop her finding my account...

    Thanks for any help

I vote that The word "Facebook" is added to the swear filter in AH.

    she's sending the invites

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

It adds whoever is in their address book from the email account they used to sign up.

So if you are in her yahoo address book and have signed up with the same account you used when going out with her then yeah, its gonna keep suggesting you untill you accept.

As far as I know She would have to initiate the add friend request. Think there is two ways of doing so:

    1. She specifically searches you out and puts through a direct friend request.

    2. She uses her gmail etc... account to find friends in her contact list that are also signed up to facebook and this sends out an automatic request to all such friends. But again she'd have to initiate this request.

    Congratulations, you have stalker!

It can be both that she is adding you or an automatic message from facebook.
Its not strictly automatic, you enter email address and facebook sends everyone on your address book a request to be friends. You Dont get a choice what friends on your email account is added.
You would prob work out which from wording on email you were sent.

The email account I am recieving her requests into is an account I have never used with facebook before..... it's just an email account she knows I have. She does not know my new email or my facebook account..

I guess she is manually making the requests...Not a girl I'd like to be in touch with again anytime soon, was years getting over the fecker and don't want any reminders of her:)

You should definitely give this girl my number (or ask her to request me). I like her persistence.

Accept her request, then immediately block her.

just google 'block, facebook' and you will find a simple step-by-step guide.

After that, she can never see your profile ever again on facebook, unless she goes creating another page, and to combat that, just make your profile unsearchable (if that's a word)

Or you could just ignore her request, as far as I know if you reject her request she can request again.
If she is using the option where she lets FB add everyone in her address book then she will keep requesting you as a friend.
Just ignore her request and that will be the end of it or block her depending on how you feel
