Anybody got any advice on this? I was about to buy a Sandisk Compact Flash Extreme 8GB (60 mb/s) card off Amazon but I am unsure as I cant figure out why it increases the price when I go to purchase it :o
It says £46.99 but when I put it in the basket and start to go through the checkout procedures it starts listing the price as £48.39...what is this £1.40 increase for?? Any help would be appreciated..

Amazon add Irish VAT at the end of the transaction.

THe initial prices you see include UK VAT. At the checkout, UK vat is replaced with Irish VAT (as Amazon are legally obliged to do), which is the reason for the price discrepancy.

Some lad posted a script program thing in bargain alerts, I think it ran in firefox and showed the real price you would pay, it even took into account what things get charged no VAT on them.

BTW a 16GB class 10 kingston is £50 in mymemory http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Micro-SDHC/Kingston/Kingston-16GB-Micro-SD-%28SDHC%29-Card---Class-10 but you risk getting stung on VAT as they ship from jersey.

Or check out this seller on ebay, located in Ireland and customer service that is second to none. He usually has very reasonably priced Kingston memory sticks (and others) plus very fast posting :).
    VTEL Ireland
No connection to him at all apart from being a very happy repeat customer ^^
