Following the Druids Glen Free Golf thread for the craic many proposed to start a thread which gives an account of player’s scores. As the offer is starting tomorrow I’ll get this up and running now and so include;

· Your Score
· Handicap
· The date you played
· Your general thoughts of the course and facilities

If anyone wants to add to that list please feel free to do so, just want to get the ball rolling.

Just like to say a big thanks to the management of Druids Glen for this offer, I’m sure people on boards will make good use of it. The good press and publicity will surely stand to Druids Glen for a long time to come.

Course Condition: Played it this morning - great weather for a game aswell. The course is in great condition. Considering the recent weather we have had - the fairways and approaches are immaculate. The greens have been forked a few weeks ago(narrow diameter spikes) but they are in really good condition. They are playing very fast (summer fast) and they are very hard so dont go there thinking you can throw your shots at the pin and that they will stop easy. Also the sand in the bunkers was how bunker sand should be - soft and fluffy and well raked.

Played today, 4 ball 2 ladies and 2 men!

My golf reflected the fact that I'm in between clubs at the moment, great drives, great 2nd shots great short game but sadly rarely on same hole! Proof I believe of lack of practice.

Course in superb condition and agree with all said earlier.

We met a 2 ball, sadly whoever they were paired with were no shows as were another 4ball out earlier, very disappointing for people who were desperate to play but couldn't get on time sheet.

Ladies v men - ladies wiped the floor!!

Singles - my pal and playing partner came in with 38 points, 23 on back 9 playing off 16

Skins - my pal won 15 so went home rich!!

Everyone we met were very welcoming and rumour has it that they will repeat this offer in November.

Point of note - the restaurant is franchised out, superb breakfast roll and if 4ball come in to eat after game cheapest meal is free so all in all a superb day out.

Sadly not only were there no shows very few golfers availed of the facilities afterwards.

Pace of play - 4 hours 30 mins, course was full but lay out was so good you were never aware of other people around.

Glad you enjoyed it aswell. Just to note- the people who signed up and recieved vouchers but who could not get a tee time will be accommodated in November. There will NOT be another offer like this in druids.

happy enuff as first outing with S2 irons.putting let me down

we got around 12.15ish and we were back in round 4.45ish.,i was pleasantly surprised at the pace of play we werent held up for that long at any hole.
course in great nick
.the pro shop was fairly basic it didnt seem to be doing any business.the coffee shop wasnt doing much this morning either. most people seem to go elsewhere for breakfast while waiting for the frost to clear.if today is anything to go by the place wont get much extra revenue from the people playing the course
