    Hi guys,

I am 6ft and looking at a Medium Ridley Orion...I hear Ridley sizing is on the large side.

But would this be too small?

I'm 5ft 10 and have medium ridley Excalabur's and Noah's and they fit me perfectly. I think medium might even be a little on the small side for you.
There's a sizing guide on the Ridley webside.

Same as Rob, 5'10" and I have a medium (nearly certain it is anyway). It really depends on leg length but at 6 foot I would have thought you would be probably pushing a large.

If I was buying a bike like that I would really want to sit on it first and get sized up properly.

Yes, effective top tube on the M is 550mm which will probably be too small unless you have an unusually short torso. I ride a 560mm top tube @6ft, and I definitely wouldn't want it any smaller (have a 130mm stem already).

The large has a 570mm top tube, which should enable a bit more of a comfortable stretch, although at 190mm the head tube on the L is very tall and wouldn't be to everyone's taste (not very racy).

Yeah the Orion has quite a tall head tube, but I'm still not at the level of zero spacers just yet. I think for the casual sportive rider it's a suitable geometry, although probably too stiff and uncomfortable for just sportive riding.
