If they miscalculated by, say about 100 litres, that's still some achievement. Don't you think?

Andi if it could drive on water

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Now, I'm no scientician, which is possibly a good thing, but my first thought when I saw it was, "I'd push that thing over, for the laugh!"

Now, if I though that, and I'm not a whole pile of scumbag, what would proper scummers do to it?

Do these people even think of these things, or do they come up with a picture of it first, and design the technology around that, and let their social arkwardness shine on through?

If we are talking about 8 litres in a plane ?

Then i'd say all the way to the crash site.

Chevy Volt, tbh. 240mpg. Or Zero Emissions on electric only and 40 miles per charge.

I'd love to see you try... I doubt you'd be able to push it over.

But where do the kids, the wife, the dog and the 24 pieces of luggage go, nevermind the DVD player, PSP, toys, food, etc...?

Ideally, those would already be there.

    Problem solved.

After 8 litres of fuel, I'd probably be in the A&E or mortuary. I usually lose consciousness after the 2nd litre.

    I wouldn't say it'd be a huge undertaking.

I'm guessing its around 6 foot long, based on the size of it in that race starting space, and using that as s reference, it's roughly 4 foot high. And if you look at those legs, you'll actually see how small those wheels are. Add that to the fact that it probably weighs the same as a vinegar soaked bag of chips, as those cell driven cars need to be light, and you've got a recipe for some PACCAR tipping.

What a name as well. Does it drive around going "wakka wakka?"

the image is of course shopped

But there are electric cars out there with solar panels / wind turbines that are self powered, just not yet as efficient as the one in the TV series Logan's run

 this one has been clocked at over 200 km/h

    Wind-powered car breaks record
A British engineer from Hampshire has broken the world land speed record for a wind-powered vehicle.

Richard Jenkins reached 126.1mph (202.9km/h) in his Greenbird car on the dry plains of Ivanpah Lake in Nevada.
