    Nobody has gone bust, you should be accurate when people's jobs/saving are concerned.

    Ive just heard same. My mate works there. hardly bust though, they employ 1600 at minute.

    Yeah and George Lee is the smartest economist in Ireland. :rolleyes:

    They have not gone bust they are closing their operations in this country, big f***ing difference. :rolleyes:

    Becuase guess what their parent company, the government of the Uk who have bailed them out somewhat don't wnat them here anymore and not becuase they have gone bust.

    No wonder some posters claim that we had to save Anglo since other banks would be at risk. :rolleyes:

    There's a thread discussing their withdrawal from the Irish market, at the insistence of the UK government, here.
