Export from Cubase into Logic

    Hey guys,

My band is doing some recording in a studio at the moment that uses Cubase and I was just wondering would it be possible for the engineer to give me the tracks to import into Logic.
I know that OMF files are useful but they don't contain tempo and time signature information, unfortunately we have time signature and BPM changes in our tracks, I hear you can do this using a midi file to create a 'tempo map', but all our tracks are just audio.

Does anyone know how to do this?
    Thanks
    Ed

Consolidate all audio tracks from Bar 1 is the safest way and drag into a logic song with imported tempo map from midi file.

You should ask the engineer to place a transient, like a snare hit or click at a point at the start of each track, to avoid any syncing issues.

I have a question regarding this too.

I recorded drums for a friend who wanted the files to mix on Audacity.

So, I recorded them in Cubase 5 but I had to do a drop in say, at minute 3 of a 4 minute song.

How would I export all the wavs, even the drop in ones, so that they all match up?
I thought recording a blip from the beginning and gluing them together would make one big wav file when I saved the project in a new folder.

I want to be able to fill the gap before the drop in.

See post 4 to show the way i do it, a region inserted at bar 1 and glued will do the same job, just check your fades are rendered correctly. RTFM to check on the latest features of Cubase.

    'bounce selection'.
Select the section you want to consolidate, either by selecting all the regions seperately (shift-select) and go to process->bounce selection.

This should consolidate them into a new file and will replace your regions on the arrange page
