Corporate Finance Training Contract - Opinions?

I started a corporate finance training contract about 5 months ago with a good accountancy practice and I cant believe I'd ever say this, but I love my job. Didn't realise there was such a thing as enjoying your job. I did commerce in college but hated accounting so specialised in economics and went onto do a masters in economics. A job in corporate finance popped up and I said I'd go for it and glad I did.

Just wondering are there many people here working in this area as it seems to be mostly Audit, and if so how are you finding it? Also, are career opportunities better for corporate finance trainees when they qualify? Thanks.

I work in that area but not in a practice anymore. I never did audit but can only imagine it being mind-numbing. When you qualify you can always go to London to stay in advisory but life in the banks can be brutal hourswise as there are limited CF opportunities in Ireland and most Irish companies of decent turnover use London advisors anyway You could go into industry also but again not too many good roles - companies like CRH do a lot of acquisitions.
