Schools in Celbridge?

I know this is possibly abusing the purpose of this forum.... but can anyone advise me on which schools in the Celbridge area aren't too into the whole god stuff?

Although my daughter won't start school until September 2011, I've left it a little too late to put her name down for the only Educate together school in the town. So basically now I've probably got to go with one of the magic schools, which annoys me intensely as they all ask for your child's christian membership card first

Anyone based in Celbridge, who has kids care to offer any advise on schools in the area?

First of all, salaesians is a boy's school.

Are you looking for a primary school or a secondary school?

If you're looking for a primary school I'd recommend the Glebe, the North Kildare Project school (I'm not sure if they still exist, but when I was going to school they did.) The first two teach religion as a subject, not a dogma. They'll teach your child about the religions of the world as opposed to preaching one.

For secondary school unfortunately there aren't any girls/mixed schools in Celbridge that are non-religious. Wolstans is the only girls school and it used to be a convent. My sister went there and she had a great education, but they did preach Catholicism. There is a mixed school in Leixlip called Coláiste Chiaráin, which is supposed to be multi-denominational, but in my experience most of the religion teachers there don't know what that means.

I'd advise you to go to the Kildare forum, if you haven't. Also feel free to PM me if you want, I know the town well.
