This is such a pain in the ass.

I want a new laptop so I can ditch windows and sell my existing one to a friend, I've persuaded myself Apple is the way to go but I don't want a laptop that will give less performance than my current Dell XPS (that I'm selling)

For the love of God, 8 hours downtime globally to add new software ? This is a joke.

The MBP's will be online later...otherwise Apple are the most inefficient company in the world. Aperture ???? 8 hours for that !

I can't spend that kind of money on last gen tech. I just can't. The processor they still have in the MBPs is the essentially the same one as in the 3.5 year old MBP I just sold. To buy now would be madness.

Edit: Am I choosing the wrong brand ? Why the hell does it take 3 weeks for an imac to ship from the applie.ie site ??? I thought they sorted out their screen issues.

According to Apple the delay is because they are struggling to keep up with the huge demand. Heh.

Man since I started following Apple news etc recently, they really are the kings of marketing and creating demand. It's unbelieveable to see a company operate in such a way - silent announcements, no leaks, pulling out of expos even though they are based around Apple, the list goes on and on...

Steve Jobs has got it going on !!!

They can be like this because of their bloody uniqueness ! They know their stuff is good so they just take their sweet ass time and hype the crap out of it !
