    Right really dont know if this is in the right place, but I am having trouble editing posts in Firefox 3.6. I can click the edit button, see my post in the editor but cant save or go advanced, also it is showing up rather oddly - can provide a screenshot if required. everything seems to work through Safari without a problem though...

    Asking on the boards.ie complaints/assistance board probably wasn't the best choice:)

    Moved to Windows.

    eh i think you are wrong, this is a problem i am having with Boards and it's compatibility with Firefox - no other site, and to put it in the Windows thread shows you know nothing of computers if you had looked at my screenshot...

    At this moment I am accessing boards.ie with FF 3.6 browser with no problems. I can edit, go advanced, and save.

    are you seeing all the break tags
    in the message window? it is not recognising any lie breaks for me.. its very odd as I am on a few other forums that use vBulletin and this is the only site I am having these problems with.

    I just used the quote function in the editor, edited your post, and am now saving (using FF3.6). Not seeing break tags, just typical HTML code for quotes.

    Now edited my post and saved. No problems.

    I didn't look at the screenshot. Actually I should have read the post properly, apologies. And Windows wasn't exactly the best choice based on the screenshot info:) Nevertheless, it's not an uncommon problem and the likely solution is common to any platform on which FF runs.

    As it happens I'm also using FF3.6 and have no difficulties. I'd recommend firstly clearing your cache by hitting F5 and if that doesn't work, doing a hard refresh by holding down ctrl and hitting F5.

    No worries, it was my mistake. As you say though, it might be a Mac issue so I'll move this there (I could move it back to Complaints/assistance but the above tends to be what we suggest so we're better off moving it along)

    What happens when you click the save or go advanced buttons? Just nothing? And they worked before? In normal mode, do the smilies work if you click on them? (yes, I'm wondering if it's a javascript issue)

    getting this javascript error in Firebug on standard pages
    Firing System Init  vB_Text_Editor is not defined [Break on this error] var qr_repost=false;var qr_errors_show...;return false}}var vB_QuickReply=true;  vB_Editor[QR_EditorID] is undefined [Break on this error] var qr_repost=false;var qr_errors_show...;return false}}var vB_QuickReply=true;

    and this in the reply to topic pages
    vB_Text_Editor is not defined [Break on this error] vB_Editor['vB_Editor_001'] = new vB_Te...001', 1, '108', '1', undefined, '');

    it seems that vB_Editor can't be called, and therefor no javascript calls from anything inside it are firing any events. very strange...
