This might seem a bit random, but it comes off the back of seeing The Princess and the Frog with the missus last night in which Keith David voices 'Dr. Facilier'. He was instantly recognisable - he has one of those incredibly distinct voices. In fact, despite hundreds of live action roles (his big break was as 'Childs' in John Carpenter's The Thing; more recently he's been Crash, Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick) he is perhaps just as well known for his voice acting. He's won emmies for narrating, but one of his most well-known roles was as 'Goliath' in the classic Gargoyles cartoon. Gamers might recognise him as the Arbitor in Halo 2 and 3, Mass Effect 1 and 2, and Call of Duty: MW2.

A little random as I said, but the guy is a legend.

Yeah Keith David is great. Even if his roles are usually small he does them very well and has always stood out in anything I've seen him in.

His voice is ****in awesome too.

Yeah I love Keith David, he is a cracking actor! Just checked IMDb and he has starred in 177 movies!

His movie career highlights for me have been:

    - They Live! (his fight with Roddy Piper is stuff of legends)
    - Clockers (He was brilliant as André, the police officer who tried his best to keep drugs out of his neighbourhood)
    - Requiem for a Dream (He was ruthless as Big Tim exchanging drugs for sex)

Yep, the man is brilliant. Most recently heard him as the cat in Coraline. What a voice though.

He did a voice for the English dub of Princess Mononoke, and while some of the cast are pretty woeful, the voice performance he does there sends shivers down my spine. You can hear him in the trailer at about 0:45

He was superb as the head of the gang in Dead Presidents too.

He was fantastic in John Carpenters "They Live", will never forget that fight scene with him and Roddy Piper. Brilliant actor and voice actor. I think he has one of the recognizable voices in the business.

I know it's pretty, but I didn't take it out for air.

    *shudder*

And for those of you who have not seen it, check out the They Live fight scene:

Very talented actor whom has turned in fantastic work time after time. While were on the subject of talented actors with Keith and David in their name we should also remember the highly talented David Keith.

The two were recently scheduled to star together in the sequel to Behind Enemy Lines but unfortunately things didn't work out.

Surely if they were to meet they would cancel each other out and possibly destroy the universe?

Here he is singing. Yes he also sings.

Gotta love Keith David. 2 roles for me that I loved growing up were The Thing and Platoon. Always had time for the man since then. Gotta love that fight scene in They Live.

I think he played a truly creepy, sleazy part in "Requiem for a dream". And then to show his acting depth he was able to play a friendly photographer in "How to make an American quilt". Very talented actor.
