CRM for 15euro per month?

    Hi All,
I have a CRM and project management system I built and I use myself. I find it's a great way of managing and organising my projects and my company, plus it's free for me. I was thinking of selling or renting this system out to small businesses (with tech support) for €15 - €20 per month.

The system has fields you can fill in yourself. So for instance if you want to keep a record of your clients, sales leads, website bookmarks, suppliers, employees, products, invoices, receipts and other things you can just add them in and it's kept there for you. I am also planning to add Income, expenses, and balance sheet options.

Just wondering if people here think that this would be of interest to companies or is it just a waste of my time bothering to develop this system for clients?

It depends on your companies focus and whether you want to start offering software as a service and the things that compliment that service including as you have mentioned telephone support. Have you got the manpower and time to man a phone even just during office hours every day of the week every week of the year?

Also Once you start selling it , you'll need to provide gurantees of uptime , back-ups of data, server uptime to ensure it's always online and working.

If this is a big departure from your core business i'd give it a miss.

I run a software company. 5% of work time is about software development. 5-8% of costs are for the servers to run the system.
The money goes on sales staff, support staff, training staff. Marketing, accountants etc..

No one cares if you find it great. That can be a hinderence, instead of listening to the customer and what they want you will be telling them about how you find this feature great etc.

    Good Advice there.

I have been in that boat. Wrote a bit of software. Thought it was great. Gonna make millions for sure....!!! Customers aren't long picking holes in it.

Also, there are an awful lot of CRM's out there already. What does yours do that's different.

Also, all businesses are so different, it is very hard to build an off the shelf CRM that will fit everyone. This why most companies end up eventually writing their own (like you did yourself).
