Tony Souza is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu directly under Ralph Gracie. He’s a long history of working as both coach and fighter with Team Ralph Gracie and we’re delighted to announce that Tony has now officially joined the coaching team at Kokoro MMA, Dublin. We made Tony’s arrival official, with a BJJ for MMA workshop, this weekend and we had a blast!

For anyone interested in training No-Gi BJJ for MMA under Tony Souza, he will be coaching every Tuesday & Wednesday evening from 18:00-19:00 at the Kokoro MMA Dublin gym.

Yeah have to say thats cool, how did ya wrangle that shane?

i find it hard to understand how they can make a good life here compared to in the states etc..

is it a temporary situation or permanent?

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

Hey Guys. Not sure anything in this world is permanent! :D

But, for sure we're expecting he'll be with us for at least 12 months.

I'm delighted to be honest - he's my weight and of a great standard.

Yeah he sent me a couple of mails looking to coach at my place. Good to see another BJJ class in Dublin. More competition=better standards.

That's another conversation. No slight on Tony's character or ability, just a training/club reason.

He applied to just about every gym in Dublin mate. Visited most of them too. We got on well and got lucky. Just going to enjoy having him around for as long as possible now. Happy Days! :D
