    Hi,

I recall there being an API. I can rip bits out of the firefox plugin but wondering if it has grown since then.

Can someone link me to it, then put it in the sticky. Thanks. :)

There's also http://vbulletin-api.googlecode.com/ which I worked on in the past. One of these days I'll pump some more time into it.

EDIT: Now that I'm more familiar with the guts of vBulletin there are a few things I should probably re-work. When I wrote most of that code I was a bit... ahem... unfamiliar with vBulletin's internals.

In fairness there is a bit you can grab already.

For example the private messages can be exported as XML. most can pass over to the Mobile board when needed.

    Hi,

I'm new to boards.ie and am wondering if I can build my own interface to interact with it through the API?

I understand that through XML-RPC I can pass a HTTP messages to boards but are there any methods available to me such as search, create new post, reply to a post, send a PM, etc?

    thanks.

Sorry, I'm afraid I had much time to put into the API since I joined boards. Also, it hasn't been installed on boards.ie, nor does it have the methods you're looking for.

At this stage, our copy of vBulletin is sufficiently different to stock vBulletin that I'm not 100% sure if the API would even work on boards.ie.

Any updates on this? I think the board is a great resource and a bit of research on it would be very interesting :)

We do have an API, however as of the moment there are currently no plans to make this accessible to the public.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
