I would be shocked if not.

Gail Kim v Maryse for the Diva's title should happen later as well.

I reckon they will. HBK to continue his bad run of form anyone? Would love Show to get retribution and take Kofi out too.

The Tag match has been changed a little....

The WWE website has announced that the Unified Tag Title match featuring Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show and The Miz vs. C.M. Punk and Luke Gallows will be an elimination match.

I'm praying for a Punk/Gallows title win just for Punk's promo

Hope HHH doesnt just bury Punk like he did at the Rumble, but think from a WWE standpoint having him on Raw aswell as Smackdown would be frickin awesome

If we celebrates winning via count-out to Batista, what will we be like if we become a tag-champ again

Hope HHH doesnt just bury Punk like he did at the Rumble,

How did HHH bury him at the Rumble? It made perfect sense to me. Cocky heel talks too much, eliminates some nobodies thinks he's awesome, goes mouthing off that he can beat whoever comes out next, out comes HHH, big pop and Punk is eliminated soon after. The heel got his comeuppances from a guy that the crowd wanted to see do it. You wouldn't call it a burial if anybody else eliminated Punk.

Its pretty spot on and I can't stand Hunter.

Well I think he buried the **** out of Punk at the Rumble, he could have easily eliminated Mcintyre, but when for the guy who'd elimated the most people thus far in the Rumble to make himself look stronger, that simple

But a burial would imply that Punk suffered long term damage as a result and he just didn't. That elimination was designed to get a big pop and it did. Success if you ask me. Punk was buried when he was beaten in a minute and a half by Cena in December, not here.

To be honest I thought that when watching but I think it made sense for him to be eliminated at that time. It was an awesome spot for Punk but if he continued that for another ten minutes the crowd would have got bored. punk came in got the crowd fired up and was eliminated by the dude everyone thought was going to win and the crowd loved it.

He eliminated five dudes in very short time and lost no heat really.

Or when Taker made him his bitch for a few months when he returned.

I can't believe I am defending Hunter when it comes to the shovel.:eek::eek:

Fair enough i get what you mean lads.. Just used to getting my HHH anti defense shields out ;)

I think Punk & Gallows will win tonight no doubt MVP will get involved and take out the Miz and HBK will have another meltdown

I think what started at the RR between Punk and HHH could carry on to a few more PPVs with a decent feud for them. I doubt Punk will be in the SD title match at WM maybe they could have another run in/altercation at the EC PPV just an idea but its new and fresh :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,772 ✭✭✭johnn

haha what nonsense, HBK has gone on and on to HHH about wanting to go to Wrestlemania to face Taker for his own glory & now he cant get it he's pissed off that Hunter doesnt want to have a DX tag match at Mania and wants to win the WWE title instead!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,772 ✭✭✭johnn

Michael Cole at the start of the tag title match "Who will be the new WWE unified tag-team champions!" Guess that means DX lose anyway

Who would have ever thought that the Miz would be walking around with 3 championship belts in his hands when he first started out!

yeah the Miz is really doing great atm and pairing him with Show makes perfect sense as like in Jerishow, Big Show can back up what The Miz will say on the Mic.

new unified WWE champions (and now available to show up on SD): The Miz & The Big Show.

dont think many people expected that either as Punks straight edge team were probably expected to take the belts if anyone did by the majority of people

Awesome Ted Dibiase is the first official inductee into the HOF this year. The Million Dollar man rules

maybe im the only one watching now... but Vince just said he would take on Bret in a match at Wrestlemania!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

No, no, no, that was pretty tough to watch. This is TNA-type stuff and it's why I said they needed to limit the physical stuff he does. Didn't come across well at all I'm afraid.

I really think they should have just had him in someone's corner at Mania.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,153 ✭✭✭Jolt2007

Agree with that. The whole segment failed this week. Cena was god awful, everything Vince said got zero reaction and Bret moved like a 90 year old. It was all going so well too :(

I reckon they will, not a hope he will wrestle, he nearly got jobbed out to a mixer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,175 ✭✭✭Paulegend

it was just sooooo hard to watch brett walk around. is he still suffering from the concussion? thats why he cant take hits to the face(slaps or punchs). its why they pulled the jacket over his head last week so they wouldnt have to hit his head or he could just pass out. if thats the case how could he even think of fighting. have to say doh he moved alot better than the jan 4th RAW

Jesus it might be the drink but i thought that final segemnt was very good and really built up the match at wrestlemania well no???

i think people are being a bit harsh on the closing segment, i thought it was done alright, cena was solid and striaght forwarsd (no jokey jokey or overly shouting) brets attack was good (vince was sloppier here) the only thing that annnoyed me was the god awful crowd reaction.....aka there was none! stupid kids!

New tag team champs (I call them The Shizz).
+ The desecration of DX finally ending.
+ Hart appearing, even if the segment could have been better
+ Sheamus winning clean, in a decent match
    + The long-overdue legacy implosion
+ Ted Dibiase in the HOF

    = Happy geeky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 89,029 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

I honestly expected Punk & Gallows to win but at least we have new tag champs in MizShow.

I hope they are on SD this week just to see their interaction with Jericho he wont be too happy :D

Christian on Raw even if he lost yey :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 112 ✭✭Hyndsy85

what's happening with wwe creative? That's 2 weeks in a row were they have given us a solid show where every match/segment actually had a meaning and progressed a storyline. Got to say im surprised and loving it.

And i cant believe people where actually complaining about the cena/vince/bret segment. besides bret looking horrible trying to do anything physical the mic work from cena and vince i thought was very good. It had me hooked.

Plus there is no way vince and bret will have a match. It's still going to be cena vs batista with bret in one corner and vince in the other probably with a stipulation that if cena wins bret can fight vince which will last all of 2 mins where bret just punches vince a few times and puts him in the sharp shooter

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,284 ✭✭✭Gerard.C

After watching raw again without the beer goggles on i still think it was really good. Vince at the end was brilliant, him and Cena did great together, and Bret just looked pissed off, which is what he should look like.

I also really enjoyed Sheamus and Christian.... whoever got the two of them in the boards draft was very lucky!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,175 ✭✭✭Paulegend

Hyndsy85 i hope your right about Batista against Cena at WM. i did say laat night that the final segment sucked and it totally did. but i liked the tension between Vince and Cena. thought Cena done really well considering i am a Cena hater. i think its brilliant that they are using Vince like this because i think with them interacting over the next few weeks even the Cena haters will start backing Cena some bit. as for Brett he looked like he should have had a zimoframe. the guy can barely move:(

another enjoyable raw and new tag champs i would prefer Punk and your man Gallon as champs

was there anyone else to pair with Miz besides Big Show :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,734 ✭✭✭✭Penn

So The Miz is now US and Unified Tag Champion.

    AWESOME!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,364 ✭✭✭paddyismaddy

does this mean MVP and Miz will continue their feud with Show and Henry added in now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,380 ✭✭✭geeky

I would have preferred it too in theory, though having Miz & show win was a great twist!

As much as I can't stand to see Big Slow, I'd rather watch a tag match with him (hopefully with the other chap doing more work) than a singles. This way, he's kept as a legit threat for storyline purposes while he recovers from his knee injury, and we're not subjected to his wrestling so much.

maybe i'm wrong but wouldnt someone like Swagger or Chavio be a better choice than Show

Objectively, yeah, but Creative/Vince seem determined to keep them both as middling threats at best. Swagger, one must presume, is being tested, and is being slotted into a midcard feud IIRC. Meanwhile, they recently had Chavo lose to Hornswaggle for weeks on end - I don't think even the E would have someone go from that to winning tag titles.

Just watched it and I agree with all the nice comments, the show was good props to WWE creative,

The highlight for me was Gail v Jillian, it had everything you want in a match, it told a compelling story, it had lots of awesome aerial moves and the crowd were ****ing loving it. Props to the two girls putting on another awesome Raw's divas match. For those who missed it and I pity you here it is in all its glory. :):)

Maryse in that dress and those boots, speaking French was worth it.

I'm actually really starting to like Sheamus! Love the beginning of his theme music, was great when it hit last night and he interrupted the guest host. although maybe its just cos we're irish, i dunno what people in the US think of him.

The only thing i cant really get used to is the accent, during the Orton feud it seemed like he barely even talked once, I actually nearly forgot about the accent until he went to get the Mic to confront Edge last week!

I'd love to see him vicously destroy a few faces like orton used to do to get him really over as a heel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

I thought RAW was pretty good last night.

Cody defeating Orton was a great move, but i hope Orton doesn't completely bury him next week. I pitied Ted having to let Cena squash him.

Sheamus and Christian gets a thumbs up from me every time.

ShowMiz is fcuking AWESOME. I marked again:o. Prepare for some excellent segments. I was convinced Punk and Gallows were going to win.

DX split was long over due.

Bret and Vinnie Mac were excellent. I thought Cena was a bit monotone again on the mic but Vince was really good and his "Igloo" joke was perfect heel promo work. Bret did look a tad clumsy but he did sell the pi$$ed of angle well and left me wanting more more more.

I think that if there is going to be a match between Vince and Bret it will be a streetfight and a short one at that. I don't think Bret is really capable of anything else. Pity.

How many commercial breaks were there?? I counted 4 in fifteen minutes at one stage. Breaking in the middle of matches and mic segments is ridiculous.

haven't seen RAW yet, but can anyone tell me if DX has actually split? My reading of it is that they are on the way to it, but haven't done it yet.

For me, it would depend on their plans for WM. If they want to do HBK vs Taker then a DX split doesn't make much sense right now. if they want HHH vs HBK then it does.

I'd love to see HHH vs HBK at mania, more so than HBK vs Taker, but both have been done recently enough. the taker match last year and the HHH match at WM20.

The advantage of HBK vs Taker is that it makes it easier to take the title off Taker at the EC pay per view - the title doesn't need to be on the line for that match. they could give Jericho the title and have Edge vs Jericho for the title.

HBK vs Taker and Edge vs Jericho seems to be the logical way to go, but then the DX split becomes meaningless.

I see where you're coming from, but perhaps they want to explain why DX aren't in the hunt for the tag titles.
