days hotel and spa - formerly the Bridge hotel, central, but not great I'd say.

athenaeum house hotel - in Ferrybank, not central city centre.

best western belfry hotel - right bang in the centre of Waterford. Nice bar food.

ramada viking hotel - on the Cork Rd, motor mile. Not practical for you I'd say.

waterford marina hotel - just behind the Tower Hotel, so near to restaurants of the Mall and bars in John Street.

woodlands hotel and leisure centre - on the Dunmore Road, not really within walking distance.

If it was my choice, I think I'd go for the Belfry, followed closely by the Marina.

The Tower Hotel and the Granville Hotel are also central. The Fitzwilton http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A1f4cfdqgXFLWTYALiVLBQx.;_ylu=X3oDMTE1bmxyMHJlBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2lyZAR2dGlkA1VLMDI2MV8yNjE-/SIG=11i99a0rh/EXP=1265816298/**http%3a//www.fitzwiltonhotel.ie/ is supposed to be nice too, and they do a lot of special deals, if it's of any help. It's past Days (Bridge Hotel), and used to the The Metropole (I think).
